This premium blend is from high-altitude estates in Southern Tanzania (Lunji, Utengule and Kanji Lanji) and Northern Tanzania (Mondul, Burka, Ngila and Lyamungu). This coffee is very unique as it is surrounded by the Ngila Forest reserve in the north and Mt. Kilimanjaro foothills in the south. There are several rivers, as well as a variety of rare trees and flowers growing on the farm.
Peaberries are a mutated bean, having one small round-shaped bean develop instead of two halves per cherry. The mutated beans are separated out in harvesting, making this a rare treat. Tanzanian Peaberry displays a spice-like aroma whose taste is close to Kenyan.
Cupping notes: tangerine, cranberry, silky body, bright acidity.
