Originally used only in a Japanese tea ceremony. Japanese matcha is a high grade matcha tea. This is a fine powder made by grinding green tea leaves. To prepare, use 1 teaspoon of matcha per cup (or to taste) in a cup, then add a few drops of hot water (160 - 180F) and stir until a paste forms. Last, add the rest of the water and stir.
