Holy basil, tulasi or tulsi as it is commonly known, is an aromatic perennial plant in the family Lamiaceae. Tulsi, Hindu for "The Incomparable One," is native to the India and cultivated throughout the Southeast Asia and Africa. This is an herbal tea.
Flavor Profile:
*Holy basil (tulsi): Fresh, herbaceous, slightly spicy with subtle clove and pepper notes, and a smooth, rounded finish
- Brewing: Tisane/Herbal Teas:
- Amount - 1 - 2 teaspoon
- Temperature- 170-180 F
- Time - 2-3 min.
Iced Tea - Double the amount of tea using the chart above. After brewing hot tea, immediately pour over a glass of ice. Add more ice if needed.
Storage - The best way to store tea is at room temperature in an airtight tea canister. Keep tea away from heat, light, air, and moisture.
