Grown high in the lush, volcanic soils of Colombia’s Huila region, our Colombian Supremo comes from small farms where tradition and quality go hand-in-hand. These farms, planted mainly with Caturra and Typica varietals, rely on hand-cranked de-pulpers and sun drying on raised beds—methods that reflect the care and heritage behind every bean.
Sourced through purchasing agencies that ensure full traceability and supported by a dedicated team of 16 agronomists working with over 4,000 producers, this coffee emphasizes not only exceptional quality, but community and sustainability.
As a Supremo grade, these beans are sorted to the highest Colombian standard—screen size 17—ensuring consistency and depth in every roast. Supremo beans are slightly larger than the more common Excelso grade, but both may come from the same harvest and tree. The distinction lies in the meticulous post-harvest sorting.
Shade Grown, Sustainably Sourced
- Reduces the negative impacts on the ecosystems, such as deforestation pollution, chemical pollution and soil degradation.
- Improve biodiversity and crop quality by allowing shade trees.
- Allows for other produce to be grown in harmony with the farm.
